​​​​​​DAY 1 - ARRIVAL AT GAMKABERG NATURE RESERVE

​​​​Arrival at Gamkaberg Nature Reserve from 14:00 onwards.  We will meet at reception.  After a warm welcome and arrival introduction you can spend the rest of the afternoon exploring and relax.  A briefing of the Tierkloof Trail will be held before dinner.  In the evening, unwind and enjoy a hearty meal.

DAY 2 - HIKING TIERKLOOF TRAIL (DISTANCE:  13.2 KM, ESTIMATED DURATION:  8 HOURS)

We will begin the day with coffee and rusks.  Breakfast will be enjoyed in the mountains, with each hiker responsible for packing their own breakfast & lunch.  Wander through the scenic ravine, embracing the peaceful beauty of your surroundings.  For a large part of the day, we will be trekking through the ravine, pausing for lunch at the overhang.  About 2 km beyond the overhang, we begin the incline, where breathtaking views await on clear days.  As we reach the jeep track, you'll feel both close to the hut and yet still with a little way to go.  But upon arriving at the campsite, you'll know that every step was worth it.  In the evening, unwind enjoy a hearty meal.

DAY 3 - HIKING TIERKLOOF TRAIL (DISTANCE:  11.6 KM, ESTIMATED DURATION:  7 HOURS)

We will begin the day with coffee and rusks.  Breakfast will be enjoyed in the mountains, with each hiker responsible for packing their own breakfast & lunch. The second day of the Tierkloof Trail continues to showcase the rugged beauty of the Gamkaberg.  For a significant part of the day, we will be descending until we reconnect with the ravine.  With plenty of time to take in the serene surroundings, the final stretch provides a chance to reflect on the journey before completing the loop.  Reaching the trail’s end, you’ll leave with a sense of accomplishment and appreciation for the untouched wilderness of the Gamkaberg.  We will collect our luggage from reception.  This is where we say goodbye-until we meet again.
