Interesting facts
Unlike many trails follow old jeep tracks or are carved out just for access, the Leopard Trail was purpose-built for hikers, with the help of local communities and trail designers. The path was carefully laid out to flow with the natural contours of the land - this means you're often walking along ridgelines with sweeping views, descending into hidden valleys, or meandering through ancient riverbeds.
And what's even cooler? The trail was named not just because of leopards roam the area (which they do - though sightings are rare), but because of how stealthily and gracefully it moves through the wilderness - just like a leopard would.).
